The Model Factory |
Promotional Modelling:
Practically anybody can do promotional modelling provided you are presentable and well groomed. Promotional models are hired to interact with prospective consumers by promoting a particular service or product. Promotional models are often hired to work in shopping centres, busy high streets and tradeshows to interact with the general public so you will need to be comfortable interacting with people. Call us today to hear more advice on promotional modelling.
Glamour Modelling:
Glamour modelling is hugely popular as there are no height restrictions. It is not to be confused with underwear and swimwear modelling. Glamour modelling is more provocative and is geared towards the 'lads mag' market. You will need to be over the age of 18 to be a glamour model. The most successful glamour models tend to have a curvy, toned physique and bags of body confidence.
The demand for plus size models has increased significantly in the last decade. As well as more clothing lines geared towards the fuller figure there is always a demand for 'real women' especially within commercial modelling. Due to the bad press surrounding the fashion industry's penchant for tall skinny models there has been a backlash and brands are making a conscious effort to include average and plus size models in their advertising and shows. To be a plus size model you will ideally need to be between a size 12 and 16 and your figure will need to be in proportion. As with all other types of modelling height, resilience and a good personality will help you go far.
